Ruth A. Harter (Aldridge)

Victor: Passed away on June 10, 2020 at age 90. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was predeceased by her husband, Marvin M. Harter; parents, Gilbert & Olive Aldridge; brother, Albert Aldridge; sisters, Mary Damaske, Esther Aldridge & Carolyn Aldridge. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth (Robert) Wilcox, Martha (Bernard) LeViner, Charles (Diane) Harter; grandchildren; Alexander Harter, Chelsea Harter, Bridget Harter, Michael LeViner, Amy (Michael) Dement, Kate (Matt) Wilcox Rodwell, Megan (Jeff) Antonitto, & Ben Wilcox; great-grandchildren, Mikaela Antonitto, Autumn Dement, Chloe Dement, Theodore Rodwell. brother, Gilbert (Nancy) Aldridge; nieces, nephews and many friends.

Ruth was a life long resident of Victor NY. She was a graduate of the Genesee Hospital nursing program where she worked as head nurse of the emergency department. She also worked for many years at Crest Manor nursing home as a night supervisor. Ruth enjoyed gardening, crafts, bird watching, and orchestra music. She very much appreciated spending time with her family including camping trips to Fish Creek Ponds in the Adirondacks, family gatherings for various occasions, and visits from family members or friends. She enjoyed her long association with her TOPS group.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 17th at 1PM in the Salem United Church of Christ, 60 Bittner Street, Rochester, NY 14604 (Click for Directions). Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Salem United Church of Christ. Donate Online
