Obituary of William Bowe

Passed away April 10, 2020 at age 87. Resident of Pumpkin Hook for over 60 years. Predeceased by brother, Don, sister, Mary Jankoski and infant granddaughter, Winnie. Survived by his devoted wife of almost 66 years (May 8th), Frances (Carra); children, Caralee (Dave) Ahonen, Pat (Cheryl), Nina (Ed) Kahovec, Julie (Jay) Vanderstyne, Mike, Billy (Mary), Susie; 16 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter, 3 additional great grandchildren due by the end of the year; sisters, Betty (Don) Cummings, Joanne DeHond; sisters-in-law, Josephine Carra, Jeannette Carra; uncle, Bob Bowe and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friends.

What mattered most to Bill were his wife and family. He would rush home from work to attend his kids' and grandkids' athletic contests and other school events. He was fortunate to be able to follow their college sports careers as well. He cherished family dinners and holidays. He was a true family man and a devoted husband, father, and Papa. He will be forever missed.

The family wishes to thank the staff on the Skilled Transitional Unit at the Ewing Continuing Care Center for their compassionate care during Bill's final days, especially since family visits were restricted. 

Due to the restrictions caused by the Corona Virus, a private burial will be held. A Funeral Mass will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donating to the Farmington Volunteer Fire Dept., PO Box 25117, Farmington, NY 14425 in Bill's memory.

Thank you to all who have kept the family in their thoughts and prayers. They look forward to being able to celebrate Bill's life in true Irish fashion.
