Bernard F. Talty “Bernie”
Bernard F. Talty was born in Lackawanna, New York on April 2, 1939 to Thomas and Catherine Talty and passed away on November 28, 2019. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 37 years, Anne Marie Pepe Talty, sister Susan Riley and brothers Thomas, Daniel and Patrick Talty. Bernie is survived by his loving companion Ann King, his children Jill Bassett, Bernard F. Talty II (Niki Marthaller), Ann’s girls Victoria King-Hudson (Matthew) and Melissa King, grandsons, Zachary, Alex, Jeb and Max Bassett, Michael Talty and Bennett Hudson, great grandsons Abram and Daniel Bassett. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Janice Talty and many nieces and nephews.
Bernie loved jazz and was a drummer for many years in groups in the Buffalo and Rochester area. He served in the U.S. Army and was a regional sales manager in the industrial safety and janitorial fields for many years. He will be well remembered for his love of a good time, good food and entertaining people with his many stories of past antics!
We are most grateful to the many people who cared for Bernie and our family during his final days.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, December 5th from 4-7 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 301 West Main Street, Victor, NY. Bernie’s Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 6th at 10AM in Saint Patrick’s Church, 115 Maple Avenue, Victor, NY. Interment to follow at Saint Patrick’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ontario-Yates Hospice, 756 Pre-Emption Road, Geneva, NY 14456 or the Victor-Farmington Ambulance Corps., 1321 East Victor Road, Victor, NY 14564.
