Obituary of Denett M. Pimkowski

Victor, NY - Denett Marcia Pimkowski passed away on December 27, 2012 after courageously and valiantly fighting cancer since 2003. Denett is survived by her husband and best friend John W. Pimkowski whom she married June 30, 1984. Other survivors include her mother Dolores Lewetzki; father and stepmother Jay Eugene Noble and Gladys Noble; stepfather-in-law Edward Knoeck; sister Dawn Noble; brothers Douglas (Shirley) Noble, Daniel (Jacqueline) Noble, Darryl (Lisa) Noble, and Dale Noble; half-brother David Lewetzki; stepsister Carol Lewetzki; stepbrothers Keith (Marsha) Lewetzki, James (Judy) Lewetzki, Kevin (Mary) Lewetzki, Jack Lewetzki; stepsister Carol "Molly" Colt; stepbrother Dennis (Gloria) Colt; sisters-in-law Norma (Harold) Dague and Polly (Michael) Tafft; and brothers-in-law Ronald (Penny) Pimkowski and Joseph Pimkowski. Denett is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Denett was predeceased by sister Dixie Jean Noble; stepfather Eugene Lewetzki; mother-in-law Ruth Knoeck; stepsisters-in-law Mary Lewetzki and Barbara Pimkowski. Friends may call Friday, December 30, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Lucey-VanVoorhis Funeral Home, 301 West Main Street Victor, New York. A celebration of Denett's life will begin Saturday, December 31, at 10 a.m. at the First Congregational Church, 58 North Main Street, Canandaigua. Internment at the family's convenience will be at the Boughton Hill Cemetery, Victor. In lieu of flowers, Denett preferred that memorial contributions be made to The Granger Homestead Carriage Museum, 295 North Main Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424; the F.F. Thompson Foundation, 350 Parrish Street, Canandaigua; or the House of John, 14 Spring Street, Clifton Springs, NY 14432 where she was so lovingly well-cared for during the last few weeks of her life.
