Obituary of Vernon R. Underhill Sr.

Underhill, Vernon R. Sr. Victor: Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at age 75. He was predeceased by his parents, Gertrude (Edwards) Underhill and Francis Underhill Sr. and brother, Francis Underhill Jr. Vern is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary (Mead) Underhill; children, Vernon "Bob" (Joy) Underhill Jr., Molly Underhill, Theresa (Mike) Annechino, Betsy Underhill, Tom (Liza) Underhill; grandchildren, Cameron, Mason, Jordan, and Kate Underhill, Alexis and Billy Annechino; sister, Karen (David) Norman; sister-in-law, Carol Underhill; nephews, Paul (Colleen) Underhill, John and Tim Norman; many cousins and friends. Vern retired from Xerox in 1998. He was a life-long resident of Victor, NY, life time member of the Victor Fire Department, former member of VCS Board of Education, Village of Victor Board, the Board of Directors of Serenity House and the Italian American Club. He was named United Way Volunteer of the Year in 2001. Friends may call Sunday afternoon 2-5 at Lucey-VanVoorhis Funeral Home, 301 West Main Street, Victor. Vernon's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Patrick's Church, 115 Maple Avenue, Victor. Interment, St Patrick's Cemetery.
