Obituary of Marie E. Walters

Walters, Marie E. Rochester: Saturday, September 5, 2009, at age 96. She was predeceased by her two husbands, Dr. Milton H. Covert and Mr. William M. Walters. Marie is survived by her daughters and husbands, Carol Lynn and Robert Farrell, Nancy and George Walton; son and wife, Dan and Candace Walters; five grandchildren, Jeffrey, Kevin and Tim (Amy) Farrell, Eve and Danielle Walters; four great grandchildren; Ryan, Jack, June and Paige Farrell; sister-in-law, Mrs. Marjorie Fisher; several nieces and nephews. Marie was born in Glens Falls, NY. She attended school in Rochester and graduated from West High School. She was a member of the Women's Guild at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, the Twig Group of Genesee Hospital and a member of Eastern Star. After moving to Florida in 1973 with her husband, Bill, she volunteered at the Marco Island Urgent Care Center, and the American Red Cross. Marie maintained her positive attitude, sense of humor and deep love for her family throughout her entire life. Her kindness and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family offers its sincere thanks to the Jewish Home for their thoughtful and compassionate care shown to Marie. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
