Sally Misner Ellis Dwyer

On Tuesday, August 27, 2019, Sally Dwyer of Victor, NY, passed away at the age of 89.

Sally was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John J. Dwyer, Jr.

She is survived by sons James (Milena) – Pittsburgh, PA, Thomas (Eliana) Glen Allen, VA, and Robert (Mary) Cold Spring, NY. Grandchildren Nicole Dwyer Caya (Ryan), Mary-Margaret, Catherine, John, Patrick and Yana Dwyer. Great-grandsons Andrew and Lucas Caya, sister-in-law Kathleen Probst, many nephews, nieces and cherished friends.

Sally was born in Springville, NY and a proud lifelong New Yorker. She was a graduate of Cortland State Teachers College and longtime educator. She retired in 2000 after serving for 19 years as the Ontario County Republican Election Commissioner.  She was an avid reader and supporter of the Victor Free Library, member of the Victor First Presbyterian Church, bridge player and golfer.

Calling hours will be from 4-7 PM on Friday, September 6, at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services of Victor, 301 W Main St, Victor, NY. Sally’s life will be celebrated in a Memorial Service on Saturday, September 7, at 1 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Victor.
