Obituary of Donald P. Goodrich

On June 8, 2018 at age 81. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Elaine “Mickey” Goodrich. Survived by his sons, Richard (Nancy) Goodrich & Robert Strauss; daughter, Susan (Scott) MacCollum; grandchildren, Melissa (Brian Kaforey) Ray, Daniel MacCollum, Courtney (John) Phelps, Sean (Airika) Goodrich, Nicole Strauss, Joshua Strauss; great grandchildren, Aiden Conge, Samantha, Jordan, Charlie Ray, III & Natalie Goodrich; sister-in-law, Marcia Isner; niece, Peggy (Barry) March and their daughters, Amanda & Lauren. 

Like his father, Donald began his career in Transportation working for the Pennsylvania Rail Road.   He left the Pennsylvania Rail Road and was working for the Rock Island Railroad when he met his future wife Mickey.  He followed his future family to Rochester and they married in 1969.  Upon arriving in Rochester,  Donald was hired and retired from Eastman Kodak Company.  He was past President of The National Shippers Strategic Transportation Council (NAASTRAC).  Donald was a graduate of Villanova University and Rochester Institute of Technology.  It was at Villanova that he was part of the Basketball Team that played in Madison Square Gardens.

Family and friends are invited to call, TUESDAY, 6-8 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services (3325 Winton Rd S). A celebration of Donald's life will be held, WEDNESDAY, 2 PM in the Interfaith Chapel at the funeral home. Interment will follow at White Haven Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.
